Ángela Zuluaga
An inspiring story to encourage women to dream big
When a woman dreams big, challenging obstacles turn into springboards that drive her to reach her goals with determination. Angela Zuluaga, a proud native of Quindío, Colombia, never thought that a prominent position in one of the world’s largest international companies would be her destination.
Earlier this year, Angela was named VP Global Communications at The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. In this capacity, she oversees communications, public affairs, and sustainability strategies for over 200 countries and territories where Coca-Cola operates. She joined the company in 2013 after being recruited by the company’s selection team.
Her professional journey began in the classroom. At age seven, she migrated with her family to the United States, initially settling in Statesville, North Carolina, where she attended high school. As a young girl, she became the first in her family to master the English language and frequently served as a translator for her parents as they adapted to their new surroundings. Angela later earned her degree in International Business with a specialization in Finance from the University of Charlotte.
In addition to her studies in Strategic Communication, she completed a business program at the prestigious Harvard University. Angela Zuluaga is not just one of the women occupying a top corporate position; she also excels as a dedicated mother, partner, and proud Colombian who understands that dreams become a reality through hard work, not overexertion. She knows how to balance her work time with leisure moments and her responsibilities as a mother to two daughters, ages 13 and 7.
