Debora Fadul

A talented chef honoring her culture with the crafting of every delectable dish

Debora Fadul, best known in the culinary world as Debbie, is a Guatemalan chef and culinary artist who has conquered palates both nationally and internationally. Her story involves the aromas and flavors of Guatemala, a country that since she was little inspired her to follow her passion for cooking.

Her journey in the culinary world began when she was still practicing graphic design in Spain. However, she could not resist her passion for gastronomy and ended up making her way back to Guatemala to study at Camille, Escuela de Alta Cocina, where she found mentors such as Chef Jorge Lamport.

With clear goals and unmatched talent, Debora founded “Chef de Mon Coeur,” setting new standards in gastronomic consulting, food styling and catering. “Diacá” her restaurant, is an ode to sensory cuisine, an experience that seeks to connect guests with the very essence of Guatemala, with a deep respect for the land, people and cuisine. Her project “Crece en Guate” highlights the value of local producers, showing the world the richness and diversity of Guatemalan ingredients.

“An ingredient has the power to transform places, people and minds with every bite.

However, more than awards and nominations, Debora Fadul represents the spirit of a chef dedicated to highlighting and honoring Guatemalan culture and traditions in each of her dishes.
