Yendry Cony Fiorentino was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to a single mother. She grew up in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Santo Domingo, where she remained until the age of three, when she moved to Turin, Italy. There, her mother found a better job before getting married and starting a new family. Yendry was adopted by her husband and from then on, she grew up with her adoptive father and brothers.

She began to discover her love for music while attending liceo linguistico, a type of secondary school in Italy. She began attending singing classes as she began her modeling career, which led her to participate in the regional selections of Miss Italia, going on to win the title of Miss Deborah Piemonte in 2012. That same year, she participated in the auditions of the sixth edition of X Factor.

On X Factor, Yendry passed the auditions and became part of the show, and while she didn‘t reach the semi-final, she managed to get a recording contract with Sony Music Italy, which ended in 2014. From 2015 to 2018, she was the voice of the group Materianera, after which she moved to London to work on her project in Spanish as a solo artist. She went on to sign a double recording contract with Sony Music Latin and RCA Records before moving to Miami.

On December 6, 2019, Yendry released her first single, “Barrio.” The song was inspired by her mother‘s story and acts as a hymn to the independence and freedom of women represented in the official video. Since its release, “Barrio” has reached nearly one million views on YouTube and over 2 millions of streams on Spotify.

In February 2021, she released the mini documentary En El Patio, filmed in her hometown of Herrera, Santo Domingo Oeste, where her grandmother and part of her family still live. The documentary is a narration of Yendry’s Dominican origins along with her journey to Italy with her mother, documenting how she got to where she is today.
