The children of presidents are as involved in the spotlight as their parents are. A lot of them have to go through their childhoods in the White House, a grand experience that while unique and special, it’s likely alienating. And while parents try their best to shield their kids from the public eye and the camera lens, every year this gets more and more difficult, forcing kids and teens in these positions to grow up under a lot of constraints.
Being the child of the president means that there’s a certain expectation to fulfill some duties with the American public, whether that means becoming a public figure in the future or getting involved in politics in order to push the legacy of your family.
