Tras la emocionante entrega de los Golden Globes 2024, llegan los Critics Choice Awards, en su 29a. edición. Los premios reconocen lo más destacado del cine y la televisión, de acuerdo con la Asociación de la Crítica Cinematográfica, formada por 250 miembros.

America Ferrera recibió el premio especial SeeHer debido a sus contribuciones dentro del entretenimiento en sus más de 20 años de trayectoria. “Todos merecemos que nuestras vidas se reflejen auténticamente”, dijo America en su discurso de agradecimiento en el que también agradeció a sus compañeras de Barbie, la actriz Margot Robbie y la directora Greta Gerwig.

Harrison Ford se llevó otro de los galardones especiales. El actor, quien tiene una de las carreras más destacadas en Hollywood, fue reconocido con el Premio a la Trayectoria Profesional.

Succession fue otra de las series que arrasó en la entrega. Kieran Culkin se coronó como Mejor actor en una serie dramática, mientras que Sarah Snook se llevó el premio de Mejor actriz en una serie dramática.

Elizabeth Debicki, quien interpretó a la princesa Diana en The Crown, se llevó el premio de Mejor actriz de reparto en una serie dramática. En la pasada entrega de los Golden Globes, laestrella nacida en Francia, también conquistó dicha categoría. Otra famosa que repitió el éxito de los Golden Globes fue Ayo Edebiri de la serie The Bear. La actriz arrasó en la categoría de Mejor actriz en una serie de comedia.

La actriz y comediante Ali Wong se fue a casa con el premio de Mejor actriz para una serie limitada o película de tv gracias a su trabajo en Beef. En la pasada entrega del os Golden Globes, Wong también se llevó un galardón por su actuación. Lo mismo sucedió en el caso de Steven Yeun quien repitió en la misma categoría y se llevó el premio de Mejor actor para una serie limitada o película de tv, como en los Globos de Oro por Beef.

En cuanto a cine, Emma Stone se llevó el premio de Mejor Actriz, mientras que Paul Giamatti ganó por The Holdovers. Oppenheimer se coronó como Mejor Película, mientras que Christopher Nolan se llevó el premio de Mejor Director. En total, la película se llevó ocho premios, mientras que Barbie se quedó con seis.
