The former miss Colombia is opening new horizons in the United States’ hispanic television.
In the summer of 2020, Daniella Álvarez received the news that her leg had to be amputated due to complications after doctors removed a coin-sized mass from her abdomen. Although the event saddened the world, the former Miss Colombia showed strength and determination to continue living her life despite missing a limb.
The Colombian publicly shared her journey on social media, and since then she has inspired millions of people with her determination to continue her path fulfilled by self-compassion, self-love, and personal growth.
The UNICEF ambassador and businesswoman, who has her own fashion boutique, is now starting a new chapter in her life. Alvarez is one of the judges of ‘Nuestra Belleza Latina’, a reality television beauty pageant that has been broadcast on Univision since 2007.
In her new role, Alvarez will be looking for a 360 beauty approach, which means internal and external beauty which means that she will judge a participant whose objetive evolves from the conventional aesthetic concept.
