Meghan Markle is an international beauty icon and the products she uses for her skin and hair, as well as her makeup essentials, are coveted by her followers. And the Duchess of Sussex “effect” isn’t limited to just fashion - it also includes cosmetics.  There aren’t many who wouldn’t want to replicate her glow, hairstyles, and perfect complexion. The royal’s top picks

Prince Harry’s wife is a fan of cosmetic lines with ecological, natural ingredients which are safe for any skin type. 

For perfect skin

Cleansing, hydrating, and exfoliating are the first three steps in any beauty routine. For the last step, Meghan told Allure magazine that she uses Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder ($68), an exfoliant that, when mixed with water, creates a rich foam. It also contains papaya and rice enzymes to remove the skin’s impurities.

A light-texture primer

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer is the alternative to traditional foundations that Meghan generally opts for, according to Beauty Banter. In addition to covering blemishes, it moisturizes and illuminates the face with a subtle dewy glow (Sephora, $38).

Deluxe concealer

Another one of her favorites, cited by Allure, is Yves Saint Laurent Beauté Touche Éclat, a legendary brightening pen that, in addition to softening the skin, helps achieve the most subtle contouring. This classic has been on the market for 25 years (Sephora, $35).

Eyelash mascara

Archie’s mother always has fabulous natural eyelashes and, according to our sister publication HELLO!, she uses Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara, which only costs $9.

Eyeliner in matte finish

In addition to the rich brown-gold color that emphasizes the duchess’ eye color, MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy ($19) eyeliner has a soft and silky, matte finish that adds a chic touch to her makeup. Another product that, according to Allure, has become one of her essentials.

Neutral illuminator

In an interview with the website Byrdie, the now member of the British royal family revealed that she always favors subtlety when it comes to her beauty look. And she helps achieve this with the Rms Beauty Living Luminizer ($38), which is organic and has a creamy texture.

Nude and chic lips

Bright lip color is generally avoided by royal ladies and - according to People - Meghan’s go-to lipstick is Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria ($34). It’s ideal for giving her just the slightest touch of pink.

Blush in shades of pink

Makeup is all about enhancing natural beauty and according to Allure, Meghan Markle likes to use a powder blush - specifically the one from Nars in a peach-pink; a shade that works well day or night. You can find it at Sephora for $30.

Freshness and shine control

As the final step in a beauty routine, all professional stylists recommend sealing the makeup onto the skin. And if the product also controls shine by allowing the pores to breathe, even better! The Duchess’ favorite - says Allure - is the Make Up Forever HD Powder ($36).
