This year’s theme is reportedly based on Truman Capote's legendary Black and White Ball in Manhattan in 1966 and there is a black tie dress code with all guests required to wear, you guessed it, black or white.

There will be two dazzling $2 million Fantasy Bras this year instead of one. The prized underwear will be worn by Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima. The bras feature 16,000 gems and are accompanied by 18-karat gold jeweled body piece. Despite its value, the Fantasy Bra has never been sold.

The show’s budget is huge and grows each year. Last year the event tipped $12 million and this year it will be even bigger with more feathers, crystals and glamour.

The models prepare their skin for months before the show, with many visiting top New York dermatologist David Colbert for treatments and advice. His Angel following includes Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton.

There will be a series of surprise musical guests and expect big ones. In the past they have included Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Fall Out Boy. Last year Taylor Swift stole the show as she sang and danced with Angel Karlie Kloss on the runway.

The show makes money, a lot of money. Whilst it is brilliant promotion for Victoria Secrets it also brought in $16 million in advertising revenue from being broadcast on CBS last year. This year the show will air on CBS on December 9.
