Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington look amazing in first look at “School for Good and Evil”
The actresses are playing professors at the fantasy school
Two of the best actresses in Hollywood are teaming up for what‘s sure to be an amazing film. Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington are starring in Netflix’s “School for Good and Evil” as “Lady Lesso” (Theron) a teacher for the School of Evil, and “Professor Doveyy” (Washington), a teacher for the School of Good. The film’s director Paul Fieg shared a first look at the stars on Instagram in some amazing costumes. Fieg wrote in the caption, “First look at Lady Lesso and Professor Dovey of the #SchoolForGoodAndEvil, apparently hanging with the swing choir teacher of good and evil. Everyday with these two awesome powerhouses is a true joy. #solucky #timeofmylife.“
Theron reciprocated the love in the comments and wrote, “YOU the powerhouse” Washington added, “This crew😍😍😍 thank you for being such a DELIGHT.” The actresses shared another look at their costumes on Instagram and expressed their excitement. Theron posted a close-up of her red curly hair and long black nails with the caption, “Ain’t no rest for the EVIL 😈 Can’t wait for you all to meet Lady Lesso.” The post got the attention of Michael B. Jordan who left fire emojis. Chelsea Handler commented, “Oh, yeah, baby.”
Washington shared a photo looking like royalty dripping in gold with a blonde look and crown. She captioned the post, “More GOODness to come.” The actress was hyped in the comments by fans and her celebrity friends. Theron commented, “You fire guurlllll” and said she loves working with her.

The film is based on Soman Chainani’s fantasy fairytale hexalogy of books. First published in 2013, the series is set in a fictional location knows as the Endless Woods. The first trilogy follows the adventures of best friends Sophie and Agatha at the School for Good and Evil where children are trained to become either fairytale heroes or villains. According to the author, Theron’s character was based on his 7th grade English teacher, “who was gorgeous, glamorous, and famously scary.” Washington‘s character, Professor Clarissa Dovey was his “homage to Virginia Woolf’s Clarissa Dalloway.”
