Princess Diana's wedding dress designer Elizabeth Emanuel is launching a new collection

Elizabeth Emanuel and her then-husband David are the hands responsible for Princess Diana’s iconic gown during her 1981 royal wedding to Prince Charles. Years later, Elizabeth still has a passion for design and a soft spot for 80s fashion.

The 64-year-old announced that she is set to launch a brand new line title Emanuel Mayfair. Elizabeth's new line will capture the essence of the 80s and will make its debut in February 2018.

Elizabeth promises that she will return to making wedding dresses. "We will concentrate on bridal wear and evening wear – things to get dressed up in, pieces that are handcrafted and made to order," she shared. The designer and her then husband created Princess Diana's wedding gown, which was seen by over 700 million people worldwide.

The elegant ivory gown was made from exquisite silk, ivory, pure taffeta and antique lace. The train was a whopping 25 ft. long and boasted over 10,000 pearls and sequins.
