Princess Olympia of Greece struck a pose (reclined in the snow!) with a pal as she bid farewell to 2017 on the slopes in Aspen. The 21-year-old royal posted the picture to her Instagram page with the caption, 'Ciao to the ciao.'
Princess Olympia's parents Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal, center, who were also on the family break in Aspen, were in a celebratory mood, with the Princess sharing this fun pic, with former Ambassador Colleen Bell, right, on her Instagram. While future queen Crown Princess Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship, Marius Borg Hoiby, was absent from this year's Norwegian royal family holiday portrait, the 20-year-old, right, did join his mom and stepfather Crown Prince Haakon, both in photo on left, for a charity Christmas Luncheon for the needy at Egon restaurant in Oslo. Marius, whose father is Mette-Marit's ex-partner Morten Borg, has preferred to lead a life away from the public eye since turning 18.

The close bond between father and son was revealed during an interview by Prince Harry with his father, the Prince of Wales, for BBC Radio 4's Today program. As guest editor for the show, Prince Harry was heard affectionately calling his father "pa." He also revealed how much he relies on his opinion by adding: "I do end up picking your brains more now than I have ever done."
During the interview, the pair discussed topics such as ISIS, mental health and climate change. Charles was thrilled to see that he is sharing his beliefs noting: "Well, darling boy, it makes me very proud to think that you understand," - in reference to his son's interest in caring for the planet.
Adding: "Well my dear boy, if I may say so, the fact you are saying this gives me enormous optimism because I have not put you off."

Queen Elizabeth looked at the picture of good health as she arrived at King's Lynn station in Norfolk on December 21. Accompanied by Prince Philip, the monarch was seen leaving London's Kings Cross station before she embarked on her journey to her country estate in Sandringham for Christmas. Harry’s new role! Ahead of his marriage to Meghan Markle, set to take place in May 2018, Prince Harry has taken over the role of Captain General Royal Marines, a branch of the Royal Navy, from his grandfather Prince Philip. Kensington Palace announced the news on December 19 saying: “The Queen has approved the appointment of Prince Harry as Captain General Royal Marines in succession of The Duke of Edinburgh.”
Next to the tweet, was a picture of Princess Diana’s son standing beside his 91-year-old grandfather, who retired from his royal duties earlier this year. Prince Philip held the position from June 2, 1953, after taking it over from his late father-in-law King George VI.

Three days after celebrating her twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella's third birthday, Princess Charlene shared an adorable Christmas photo of her children. The siblings, who turned three on December 10, look all grown up in the new picture posted on Her Serene Highness' Instagram on December 13.
Gabriella donned a red velvet dress and matching hair bow for the photo session, while her brother wore a crisp white shirt and olive-colored velvet pants. Alongside the photo of the siblings sitting in front of a Christmas tree, a message read: "It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella December 2017."

Princes William and Harry didn’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to attend the European premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The royal brothers stepped out for the star-studded event held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, just a stone's throw from Kensington Palace Gardens.
The film’s premiere on December 12 benefited the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Military veterans and volunteers who have taken part in the foundation’s programs joined William, 35, and Harry, 33, at the premiere, in addition to some families who were affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Princess Diana’s two sons, who have cameos in the film, were greeted by droid BB-8 as they walked the carpet.

Norway’s Princess Märtha Louise revealed what's on her holiday wish list! The Princess took to her Instagram on December 12, to post her “Christmas wishes.” The hilarious meme featured a conversation with Santa Claus asking for one thing, a boyfriend.

The Swedish royal family — Christopher O'Neill, Princess Madeleine, Princess Sofia, Prince Carl Philip, Queen Silvia, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel — came together for the King’s dinner for Nobel Prize winners on December 11. The royals welcomed guests including physics prize winner Rainer Weiss (to the right of Her Majesty) to the royal palace.
The Duchess of Cambridge helped spread Christmas cheer during her visit to the Magic Mums community Christmas party on December 12. Prince William’s wife was on hand to pass out Christmas presents to parents and children from the Magic Mums group, which is run by the Rugby Portobello Trust in North Kensington. The Trust provides support for local families by running programs for children and parents such as homework clubs, sporting activities, social groups and tuition.
A new portrait of the Duke of Edinburgh was released on December 11. The realistic image of Queen Elizabeth’s husband was painted by artist Ralph Heimans. The palace noted that it was “painted in the year of [Prince Philip’s] retirement from public engagements.”

Prince William had a round table chat with students during the "Stepping Out" session at MediaCityUK on December 6. Three days after Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip baptized their son Prince Gabriel on December 1, the Swedish Royal Court released the official photos from the three-month-old’s christening. The new images released on December 4 show the young Prince with his mother, who was dressed in a Swedish folk costume known as a Svenska folkdräkter for the occasion, his father and older brother Prince Alexander.

Harry laughed as he and his fiancée Meghan Markle were presented with a gift during their visit to the Nottingham Contemporary, which is where the Terrence Higgins Trust held the World AIDS Day fair. The pair were also shown a UK AIDS memorial quilt that was made by friends and lovers of those who passed from the disease. Harry is following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, in combating the stigma that surrounds the disease.
