Princess Charlene opens up about twins' strong bond: 'Jacques is the love of Gabriella’s life'

In honor of her and Prince Albert’s upcoming seventh wedding anniversary (July 1), Princess Charlene opened up to Point de Vu in a new interview about her children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, and their strong twin bond. “Jacques is the love of Gabriella’s life. Neither Albert nor I can interfere in their relationship,” she shared (via People magazine). The royal siblings even stand up to their parents. Charlene revealed, “Our children are very independent and always make decisions together. Sometimes they tell us no.”

“In some cases, we wind up questioning ourselves if what we’re doing could be wrong. But Jacques and Gabriella are strong together, and we must accept it,” the doting mom added. “We discover them even closer accomplices than we imagined.”

While they are each other’s best friends, the siblings could not be more different. “Jacques is very reserved. He is sure of himself, but he likes to take his time doing things, to observe them, and no one can force him to do anything,” Charlene said. As for her daughter, she noted, “Gabriella, for her part, is not afraid of anything. With her it is always full steam ahead!”

Charlene and Albert welcomed their son and daughter in 2014. These days the bilingual toddlers are very energetic. “There are mornings where they sleep a little later than usual and those where they wake up much earlier,” Charlene said. “At age 3 1/2, they’re so full of life, to the point that they sometimes seem to me to have too much energy for their age.”
