Ahead of her christening on Friday, June 8, the Swedish Royal Court has announced Princess Adrienne’s godparents. Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill have selected six godparents for their third child — Miss Anouska d'Abo, Mrs. Coralie Charriol Paul, Mr. Nader Panahpour, Baron Gustav Thott, Mrs. Charlotte Kreuger Cederlund and Mrs. Natalie Werner.
Chris selected Anouska, who is his niece, and Nader, who is a friend. Gustav is married to Princess Madeleine's close friend, Louise Gottlieb, who is her daughter Princess Leonore's godmother. The Swedish royal family attended the Baron and Louise’s nuptials last weekend.
Meanwhile Adrienne’s other godparents, Charlotte and Natalie, are also close friends of Madeleine. Surprisingly, the couple opted not to select any members of the royal family as godparents to their baby girl. Crown Princess Victoria is already a godmother to Leonore, four, and Prince Carl Philip is godfather to the couple's nearly three-year-old son, Prince Nicolas.
Adrienne, who was born in March, will be christened at Drottningholm Palace Church on her parents’ fifth wedding anniversary. Madeleine and Chris’ firstborn, Leonore, was also baptized on the same date back in 2014.
Archbishop Antje Jackelén will officiate the ceremony on Friday using water from the island of Öland. The little Princess will wear the same christening gown worn by her mother and other generations of Swedish royal babies — including King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Estelle, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, Prince Alexander, Prince Oscar and Prince Gabriel.
After the baptism, a reception will be held for invited guests followed by a private lunch. Christening guests include family and friends, as well as Swedish government and parliament members.
