It seems Meghan Markle always had a calling for royal life! A vintage video of the former Suits actress taken during childhood best friend Ninaki Priddy’s birthday party has resurfaced showing the then-eight-year-old playing a Queen. In the adorable clip, the future royal wears a gold crown as she and her friends, who played the roles of Princesses and servants, discuss their royal duties. In the 11-minute video, Meghan’s friends refer to her as “your highness” while she instructs them to do things such as “make me 900,000 cookies and sew me a nice dress.”

In the video, the young "Queen" is also getting ready for big meetings with people from “Florida and Canada, Mississippi, Missouri.” According to Daily Mail, Ninaki, now 37, said, “The show was called Your Royal Highness and the star was Meg,” adding, “It’s very funny to see this now and given what is going on with her life it’s quite eye-opening. She was always the center of attention, always the ringleader – it was my birthday but she took the starring role!" Ninaki continued: “My parents were in the audio-video industry so we always had a camera around. We would do little videos.”
Fast forward over 20 years later, Meghan is set to tie the knot with Queen Elizabeth’s grandson Prince Harry on May 19. During their first interview after their engagement, Meghan opened up about the moment when she finally got to meet the monarch who is one of the most important women in her future husband’s life.
