The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge braved the freezing weather to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at a parade of the Irish Guards. Prince William, who is Colonel of the Irish Guards, and Kate visited the first Battalion at their base in Hounslow, West London for the Saturday, March 17 occasion. The couple, who are expecting their third child, watched 350 soldiers arrive at the Parade Square. Duchess Kate then sweetly presented a shamrock to officers and warrant officers. Style-wise, the 36-year-old pregnant royal kept things festive, opting for a coat from her beloved designer Catherine Walker. It was a notably similar one to the bespoke number she wore to the very same event last year.

Adorable Irish dog Domhnall, a wolfhound the royals have met before, led the procession in his role as mascot. The regiment then continued a march-past, with Kate's 35-year-old husband taking the salute. The festivities were held in testing conditions, as temperatures plummeted towards zero. Luckily, Kate made sure to bundle up in her cozy coat, black tights and gloves, and to finish the ensemble off with a beautiful Gina Foster hat.

William and Kate were quickly able to escape the cold as they headed inside for the final portion of their visit: the guardsman's holiday lunch. At what seemed to be a nearby Starbucks location, the longest-serving guardsman proposed a toast to the royals and thanked the Duchess for presenting the group with shamrocks. At this point, the Duke of Cambridge happily joined in on the cheers - raising a guiness in the air. Of course, it was only a glass of water for pregnant Kate, but she still participated in the sentiment!
