It looks like the world’s favorite international duo is back in action, as Kensington Palace announced on Sunday, December 17 that Prince Harry interviewed Barack Obama for a special edition of BBC Radio 4’s Today program. During the conversation, which will air in full on December 27, the pair discuss their common focus on building leaders for the future as well as the former President’s life after leaving the White House. Of course, they saved some time for fun, with both Barack and Harry dishing out jokes.

The palace teased the upcoming show by releasing an amusing behind-the-scenes video of the 56-year-old U.S. politician and the 33-year-old prince. “Do I need a British accent?” Barack asked at the top of the clip. The royal quickly quipped: “If you start using long pauses between the answers, you’re probably gonna get ‘the face.’” At that, Obama said, “Let me see the face.” Harry then gave him his best “serious” look, to which the leader responded: “Oh okay… I don’t want to see that face.”
Michelle Obama’s powerful husband can also be seen reassuring Harry in the video, as the young royal appears nervous to conduct the interview. “It’s going to be fine,” he says in a relaxed manner as Harry teeters off details about the recording’s holiday air date. “You’re excited about this, I’m nervous about this,” Harry admitted with a grin. “That’s what’s quite funny.” Barack smiled, repeating that “it’s going to be fine,” and then offering to turn the tables: “I’ll interview you if you want!” Blushing, Harry quickly shook his head, saying, “No, let’s keep it this way. I’d much prefer that.”
The interview was recorded in Toronto during Harry’s Invictus Games back in September. Last seen together at that event, it seems the high-profile men have maintained a friendship. Hayley Stover, an 18-year-old student, reportedly overheard the pair talking about Harry's relationship with his now fiancée Meghan Markle while sitting together at the games. She told the Sunday Mirror: "Obama asked about Meghan, and Harry let him know she had been to watch the tennis with him. He asked if she was enjoying the Games and Harry was really smiling as he said yes. He looked so happy. It was cute."
Prince Harry's full interview with Barack Obama will air on BBC Radio 4 Today on December 27.
