Selena Gomez is a '90s baby and lately she has been repping the decade with her beauty looks. During the March for Our Lives on March 24, the Wolves singer wore her hair in the wet-look. The hairstyle first became popular in the '80s and '90s with stars such as Britney Spears and Madonna helping it rise to fame. As it is with most trends, the look has now come back into style in full force. Selena seems to love the throwback look. In 2017, she wore the sleek hairstyle on several red carpet events and even had her brunette bob styled like that for her most recent PUMA campaign.

In the past year, we've seen big-name celebrities such as Margot Robbie wear it on red carpets. Several of the fashion industry's most important designers have sent their models down the runway with an updated version of the slick retro look. Alexander Wang, for example, had his models styled with a wet-look for his most recent show, and even added another '90s accessory into the mix to give it an extra dose of updated nostalgia: the claw clip.

Danielle Priano, a hairstylist who has worked with Selena in the past and has given her the wet-look before, once shared on her Instagram page some of the key products used to achieve the young singer's look - notably, R+Co's "Motorcycle Hair" gel ($26). The beauty product has wax-like features in that it provides shine and flexibility, but it also holds hairstyles without being stiff. To get the trendy look, a pro tip is to start off with damp hair and gently work the product into it with your fingers or a comb, depending on the look you want.
