French aristocrat and fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy passed away on Saturday, March 10 at 91-years-old. Before launching his esteemed namesake brand in 1952, Givenchy had already been making a name for himself in the fashion world by working under Pierre Balmain and Christian Dior. It wasn't until later that he'd launch to international stardom thanks to his celebrity clientele, specifically Audrey Hepburn. The iconic actress frequently wore his elegant designs, and he was even the mastermind behind the timeless black dress she wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
