Sarah Jessica Parker teams up with Gap for nostalgic children’s collection

In December 2017, it was announced that Sarah Jessica Parker was partnering with GapKids to create a fun collection, and now, pictures of the campaign have finally been released. The Sex and the City alum created 36 pieces for kids, toddlers and even moms. Sarah, who grew up with six brothers and sisters, was inspired by her childhood memories and favorite hand-me-downs. The mom-of-three also incorporated her childhood nostalgia with a long followed superstition of saying "Rabbit, Rabbit” on the first day every month, so there are many pieces with a rabbit motif on them as well.

“Creating this collection with Gap has been such a treat as a mother, as one of eight children, and as a reconnection with the brand,” Sarah said in a press release shared by Gap. “I hope the pieces are cherished by the children who wear them, that items are passed down among generations, and that some great memories are created while wearing them.”

This isn't the first collection that the actress has created for Gap. Sarah has a long-withstanding relationship with the brand ever since she first signed a multi-season contract to front the company's adverts in 2004. The 52-year-old also has a lot of experience shopping for childrenswear since she shares three kids with husband Matthew Broderick — 15-year-old son James and eight-year-old twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion.

“It’s been a delight to collaborate with Sarah Jessica Parker on this special collection for kids that combines her nostalgic childhood memories with signature Gap favorites,” Wendi Goldman, Gap executive vice president and chief product officer, said in a press release. “We are so thrilled to have Sarah Jessica back with the Gap brand in this new collaboration capacity. Together we created a collection that we hope will be passed down from generation to generation, just as we envisioned.”

Launching March 1st, the collection ranges from $16.95 to $78, and will be available on gap.com and select GapKids stores in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Greater China, Hong Kong and Japan.
