Cindy Crawford's bond with Presley and Kaia Gerber is stronger thanks to modeling

Cindy Crawford’s kids  Kaia and Presley Gerber — know mother knows best in their household! The 51-year-old supermodel admitted in an interview with HOLA! that her experience and knowledge of the fashion industry has brought her closer to her teenage children, who are following in her modeling footsteps.

“It has been really nice for both of our kids — and our relationship because so many times at this age your teenager might say, “You don’t know anything.’ But they don’t say that,” the mom-of-two shared. “They know that I know — at least about fashion.”

While Cindy is well-versed in modeling, she does take advice from her son, 18, and daughter, 16, when it comes to social media. She admitted, “I listen to them about social media. Kaia is like, ‘Don’t put a hashtag.’ It’s fun and we learn from each other.”

Rande Gerber’s wife — who along with her teens are ambassadors for the luxury watch brand Omega — began her modeling career at age 16, like her daughter. Kaia made her runway debut in September modeling in the Calvin Klein show during New York Fashion Week. The teen went on to rule the catwalk in the Big Apple, as well as in London, Milan and Paris.

Cindy noted that Kaia “loves” working in the industry, however the doting mom wishes that her daughter had started at a later age. George Clooney’s pal confessed, “I wish I could have slowed it down or put it off. The wheels were in motion and she really wanted it.” Cindy added, “When she was 14, I kept saying, ‘You have to wait until you’re 16.’ When she got to 16 I was like, ‘I should have said 18.’ But I had an incredible career and managed to avoid some pitfalls.”
