Just a few days before she is set to walk the red carpet at the 90th annual Academy Awards, Eiza Gonzalez opened up to HOLA! USA about being named as a presenter at this year's Oscars and who she is bringing as her date to the star-studded ceremony. The 28-year-old Neutrogena spokesperson also revealed how she is prepping for her big night that she's "dreamt [of] her whole life." Eiza confessed, "It's a lot to digest, I feel completely proud of being a Mexican woman, an immigrant representing my country, especially the Mexican women.”
HOLA! USA: Recently we spoke to you about your role in Baby Driver, which is nominated in three categories, and now you are going to be a presenter at the Oscars. How did you react to the news?
Eiza Gonzalez: "It is an honor to have been considered, it's the result of a lot of work. I wasn’t expecting it, my job is to do what I love and this is a gift. The fact of having been invited is something that I never imagined and for that I’m very grateful and humbled trying to take it in the best possible way."

H: Almost at the same time they shared the news that you’ll be presenting, Eugenio Derbez was announced too. Have you spoken with him?
"No, I haven't talked with Eugenio yet. What I can tell you is that I’m very excited about being part of this year's event, almost all of the nominated films I've found incredible, in addition to Baby Driver as one of the nominees."
H: How are you preparing for the Oscars? What is your beauty routine like?
"All week prior to the Oscars requires a lot of 'maintenance.' As you know there are many events days before, parties and the tiredness accumulates. The most important thing is to look great for Sunday, so the best thing for me is to hydrate my skin constantly. I do daily deep cleansing and use face masks, but in general I have always been very disciplined with my beauty regimen. Then this week becomes pretty much the same as my daily beauty routine. I think that's why the brand I represent [Neutrogena] and I are a perfect match. I believe that beauty and skin care is a big priority, then the make-up is fun but that for me is secondary."
H: Can you tell us a little bit about your dress for the big night?
"I can’t say, and in fact we are still selecting dresses, what I can say is that I am working with my stylist Anita Patrickson, the same that I worked for the promo tour of Baby Driver. Wait for the surprise."

H: Is there someone with whom you would like to sit with at the ceremony or meet?
"With Guillermo [Del Toro]. I am very proud of him, I hope he wins this year, honestly I think he deserves it. I have had the opportunity to speak with him, and he is an incredible, man and a hard worker. A worthy representative of Mexico."
H: Who’s your plus one to the ceremony?
"My mom. This is the result of much work, thanks to the support of my mom I have reached my goals, she made me believe in myself even when no one else did."

H: What are your plans for this year?
"Last year I worked on five movies, so this year there will be more things. Now after the Oscars, I'm traveling to Europe to make another [American] movie but filmed in Spain. This 2018 the film The Women of Marwen with Robert Zemeckis and Steve Carrell will be released, also Alita directed by Robert Rodriguez and another independent film called Highway among other projects. On the other hand, I’ll continue as an ambassador for the beauty brand Neutrogena."
H: Eiza, congratulations again on all your achievements. Hopefully next year we can see you again at the Oscars, but as a nominee...
"Those are big dreams…but you never know, for now I am grateful for all that is happening to me."
