Luis Fonsi says son Rocco brought him luck, daughter Mikaela is best big sister

Luis Fonsi credits the success of his record-breaking song Despacito to his 14-month-old son Rocco. “He was born two weeks before Despacito was released,” the Puerto Rican singer, 39, told HOLA! USA for his March cover story. “He brought us good luck.”

Since marrying his wife Águeda López in 2014 and becoming a father to his son and six-year-old daughter Mikaela, Luis noted that his priorities have changed. He explained, “I still have that same drive to succeed and to do good things, but now I do it with a different intention, and I’m not just doing it for myself anymore, or for my own success, but rather I’m doing it for my family to leave behind a legacy that one day my children will be proud of.”
