Billboard Latin Music Awards 2018: J Balvin, Shakira lead the pack, plus Beyoncé’s surprising nods

Billboard is celebrating a tremendous year in Latin music! On April 26, the Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo. In celebration of two decades of the ceremony, this year’s event will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. It is no surprise that J Balvin and Shakira lead the pack of nominees. Both of the Colombian superstars garnered 12 nominations each.

In a close second – with 10 nominations – is HOLA! USA’s March cover star Luis Fonsi, as well as Maluma, Daddy Yankee and Ozuna. In a surprising twist, non-Latin acts like Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Willy William also received numerous nods.
