Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee added some Latin flavor to the 60th annual Grammy Awards. The Puerto Rican artists performed their Grammy-nominated song Despacito for the star-studded crowd at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, January 28. The pair were joined by former Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera, who starred in the viral music video, on stage. Luis and Daddy Yankee had stars like Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Donnie Wahlberg and more jamming to the smash hit during their highly-anticipated performance. After receiving a standing ovation, awards show host James Corden joked, “Wow. That is a catchy song. I have not heard that song before. I’m telling you, if they can just get that song on the radio, they have a hit on their hands.”
The record-breaking tune is nominated for three Grammys including Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Should Despacito win Song of the Year, it will be the first Spanish-language song to take home the coveted prize in that category.
