J Balvin performs at Texas teen's star-studded $4 million birthday

J Balvin was one of many celebrity guests at a teen's star-studded birthday party. The 32-year-old took the stage for a performance at Thomas Henry Jr.’s 18th birthday bash on December 2 in San Antonio, Texas. The Colombian singer got the crowd moving with some of some of his hits including his chart-topping single Mi Gente.

The Latin artist was in good company as hip hop trio Migos took the stage and treated the audience to a performance of their song Bad and Bougie. World renowned DJ Diplo kept the party going with a set featuring some of his biggest tunes as well as DJ Ruckus.

The Gatsby-esque bash, which cost the birthday boy’s family an estimated $4 million, was held at the Hotel Discotheque in San Antonio and combined the teen’s love for art and fashion. The venue was adorned with floor-to-ceiling decor, aerial performers, burlesque showgirls and contortionists swimming in oversized martini glasses.

In celebration of the theme, the venue featured a one of a kind ice bar, cigar and whiskey lounge, s well as a lobster and caviar bar. In the spirit of keeping the affair lavish, Thomas Jr. was gifted with a fully loaded blue Ferrari, an IWC Portugieser Tourbillon watch and a custom-made painting by Alec Monopoly.

The star-studded guests list didn’t stop with the performers. Other celebrities in attendance included Ashanti, Rumer Willis, Lance Bass, Josh Henderson, Joanna Krupa, Suzette Quintanilla and Adrienne Bailon. The Henry family are no strangers to lavish parties.

The family patriarch, Thomas, who is a well-known lawyer and philanthropist, created online buzz when he threw his daughter, Maya a $6 million quinceañera in 2016. Thomas is also responsible for the 2017 Republic Records Grammys after-party and the 2017 Maxim Super Bowl party.
