Ricky Martin talks possible spring wedding and party in Puerto Rico

Ricky Martin is overjoyed about his upcoming wedding day to Jwan Yosef. “How lucky I am that I can go through life like an open book,” he told HOLA! USA. “When I get married, I want to shout it from the roof. I have said in many interviews: my wedding will last three days and everyone will find out.” The Assassination of Gianni Versace star, 45, and Jwan, 33, got engaged in 2016. However due to Ricky’s hectic schedule and humanitarian work, the pair have had to postpone planning their big day.

“I can tell you that I am very much in love, and my children are very happy, which is important,” the Livin' la Vida Loca singer revealed. “But we have no plans, because when we started, I was in between the Las Vegas shows and we started organizing a wedding. But then, the earthquake in Mexico and the hurricane in Puerto Rico happened. We had to put plans on hold, but God willing, it will be in the spring of next year.”

As for the location, the Puerto Rican singer and the Syrian artist want to take their nuptials around the globe. “Well, I do not think it could be in Puerto Rico, because my partner’s family is in Syria,” the father-of-two said. “Unless things change, I wouldn’t be able to invite his family. We’ll see where we’re going to do it, but certainly a wedding dressed in white, barefoot, at the edge of the sea, in my land it has to happen.” He added: "Then, I will marry in several countries, but, definitely, that party in Puerto Rico needs to happen.”
