Alessandra Ambrosio on the 'myth that beautiful women are not intelligent'

Alessandra Ambrosio’s character in the upcoming Daddy’s Home 2 has both beauty and brains! The Victoria’s Secret model chatted with HOLA! USA ahead of the film’s release to discuss playing Mark Wahlberg’s wife in the comedy and the “myth that beautiful women are not intelligent.” Alessandra said, “[My character] Karen, is this beautiful woman but at the same time she’s very intelligent. She's a doctor."

She added, “I do not think that there's such a perception, [it] is an old myth. I know so many women [who are] extremely intelligent and powerful, trying to stand out for the rights of other women, so that judgment seems very old-fashioned. For me [it] remains a myth that beautiful women are not intelligent.”

The Brazilian beauty, who also made an appearance in 2015’s Daddy’s Home, noted that working on the sequel alongside Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell and Mel Gibson was an amazing experience. “This was the best time that I’ve got to work in a whole movie in a Hollywood studio from the beginning to the end, getting to know everyone on the set, there [were] so many people involved and it gets very emotional at the end,” the mom-of-two said.
