Salma Hayek has a new girl crush! The actress, who is spending time in South Africa, took to her Instagram on Sunday, October 15, to share a sweet video of herself with a new friend. “Hippos are the animals that kill the most humans in Africa but Jessica is one of a kind! #southafrica #animial #grilcrush www.jessicathehippo.com @tintswalo_lodges @africadirect,” the 51-year-old captioned a clip of herself feeding the hippopotamus during her visit to the Tintswalo Lodges. In the background of the clip, one of Jessica's handlers could be heard telling Salma, “No kissing.”

However, that didn't stop the Hollywood star from kissing another unnamed hippo. "Who said i couldn't kiss a Hippo?! #loveatfirstsight #animallove #africa Quien dijo que no podia besar un hipopotamo?! #tintswalo_lodges #africadirecttravel," The Hitman’s Bodyguard actress penned alongside a video of her repeatedly kissing a hippo over a fence. Salma's ten-year-old daughter Valentina watched from behind while her mother showered the animal with love, calling it "my darling."
The mom-of-one, who is married to Francois-Henri Pinault, has always been vocal about her love for animals. During a summer trip to Costa Rica with her husband, Salma couldn’t help but admire the beautiful wildlife. “From my eyes to yours,” she captioned a picture of herself looking through a pair of binoculars, while sitting in a pool and admiring wildlife.” Last year the Beatriz at Dinner star revealed that she had almost 30 animals and had to hilariously trick her husband into letting her keep one more.
"We were up to 30 animals and I swore no more," she said on the Graham Norton Show. "And I was there [filming a movie in Bulgaria] and a little puppy who was abandoned and was going to die.” So the actress decided to rescue him. Salma shared, "I came up with this brilliant idea to pretend that I was having an affair with somebody — and at the end I would say, 'No, it's not an affair, I picked up a dog' and then he would feel better."
"So I left him and message, 'You must call me at this time, we need to talk. It's very important.' And I never do that, and this time, [he said] 'Okay, what happened?' And I said, 'Listen, I feel so terrible, I don't know how to say this to you and I know this is not going to go down well and I'm really nervous and please have mercy on me,'" she continued. "I was lonely here for so many days." To which her husband responded: "Oh please don't tell me you picked up another dog."
