A couple that gives back together, stays together! Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are teaming up for the One Voice: Somos Live! A Concert for Disaster Relief this weekend (October 14), which will benefit victims affected by the recent natural disasters. “We complement each other in a beautiful way and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this,” Jennifer told Entertainment Tonight during a joint interview with her beau. “The things that Alex did to help make this a success for the people of Puerto Rico and all of the disaster relief has been amazing.”
The Shades of Blue actress, 48, added: “I think we’re very alike in many ways. And I think that’s why people respond to the fact that we got together. " Though Alex, 42, jokingly noted: “We’re alike except I don’t sing, dance or act and I don’t look like her, besides that we’re twins.” This weekend's concert will mark the couple's first project together since they went public with their relationship at the beginning of the year.

The former Yankees player praised the Ni Tu Ni Yo singer for putting the concert together, despite her busy schedule. “To watch Jennifer kind of lean into this in a way I didn’t know she was capable of. I mean here’s someone who has like 20 jobs and raising kids and being an incredible mother,” he shared. “On top of that she is calling everybody in her contact list, which is something that she never does – but it is so important and it hits so close to home for her."

Jennifer, whose family was personally affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, was very involved when it came to recruiting the concert's A-list performers and guests. She revealed: "I called every performer myself. It was a lot of fun to call you know, Gwen Stefani or Demi Lovato or Jamie Foxx or Leonardo DiCaprio or any of these people...Ellen DeGeneres and go 'Hey, my full time job is now Puerto Rico, can you help me out?' And I can't even get the sentence out and they're like, 'Yes, what do you need? What do you want me to do?'"
For Jennifer, the numerous phone calls were 100 percent worth it. She said, “Its going to be an amazing beautifully, heartfelt, emotional, exciting night, so tune in.” The One Voice: Somos Live! A Concert for Disaster Relief will air on Telemundo and Univision on October 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. NBC will air the third hour of the program in English at 10 p.m. PT/ET.
