Ricky Martin is continuing to help his native Puerto Rico! The Livin' la Vida Loca singer returned to the island on Monday, October 9, with his fiancé Jwan Yosef via a MD-11 FedEx cargo jet to deliver over 150,00 pounds of aid. FedEx partnered with the Ricky Martin Foundation to bring essentials including food and water to residents who are still suffering from the devastation that Hurricane Maria left after hitting the US territory in September. Jwan shared a selfie of himself and Ricky after landing in Puerto Rico, which he captioned: “We flew this @fedex cargo plane with aid to the western part of Puerto Rico ❤️ THANK U @fedex for joining us in this alliance 🙌🏼 #hurricanemaria #puertorico."

Ricky, 45, also shared a photo on Tuesday, writing in Spanish, "YESTERDAY WE HAVE 150,000 lbs of basic necessities to the western area of Puerto Rico. I want to thank the entire team of@Fedexfor helping us transport supplies for the people of my land. All the DelamanoconPuertoRico.org team and the wonderful group of volunteers who continue to work hard on the island to bring well-being to the needy. In alliance, everything is possible. # Allin4PR #PuertoRicoselevanta."
Last week the Shake Your Bon Bon singer stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show to give an update on the conditions of Puerto Rico. “First of all I don’t want to be pessimistic I want to be realistic. The images don’t do it any justice to what really happened in PR. It looks like they nuked us,” the dad-of-two said. “They say that only 43 people have died in the island. I know of families that had to bury their relatives in the backyard because there was no help and we are still dealing with this.”

Ricky, who has raised $1.8 million, added: “Regardless of what people say. Right now Puerto Rico is still struggling and I don’t see light at the end of the tunnel. We need to work. That’s why I’m here today. First, to thank you and to tell you that I’m going back on Sunday with a FedEx plane filled with 120,000 pounds of necessities. And all of this is with your help.” Earlier this month, Ricky joined fellow Puerto Rican musician Luis Fonsi on a trip to the island sponsored by Jet Blue, during which they got up close and personal with residents of the grief-stricken island and handed out goods.
