Attendees of the Telluride Film Festival received a happy surprise on Saturday when Angelina Jolie showed up with all six of her and Brad Pitt’s children. The Oscar-winner attended the Colorado based festival on September 3 to premiere her new Netflix film, First They Killed My Father, which she directed, produced and co-wrote. She seemed thrilled to have her beloved bunch by her side as she posed for pictures and greeted fans.

The 42-year-old talent had the support of children: Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh 11, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. The film, which premieres on Netflix on September 15, holds a special meaning for Angelina and her loved ones, as her eldest son Maddox was born in Cambodia. It was a pretty low-key affair, with her children all dressed in laid-back attire. Angelina looked casually chic in a white long-sleeved dress that featured classic beaded detailing.

Angelina and her family were joined at the premiere by Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung, who wrote the memoir that the film is adapted from. The story documents Loung’s experience as a young girl under the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge. Angelina’s young actors, Sareum Srey Moch (who plays Ung) and Kimhak Mun, were also on hand for the screening, taking photos with the Jolie-Pitt clan. Stars like Gary Oldman were also seen at the 44th annual film festival.

The public appearance comes on the cusp of a recent interview where Angelina opened up about life after her separation from Brad Pitt. While speaking with the Sunday Telegraph, the star, who filed for divorce from Brad last year after a 12-year relationship and two-year marriage, admitted that the process has taken a toll on her emotionally. “Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together,” she said. “But really I am just trying to get through my days.” She added: “I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.”
