Cristiano Ronaldo's team has grown by two! The soccer player introduced his newborn twins — a boy and a girl — on Thursday, a day after revealing that he had become a father for the third time. The 32-year-old, who finally met his bundles of joy after losing to Chile in the FIFA Confederations Cup on June 28, made the exciting announcement on his Facebook account, Wednesday evening.
"I was in the service of the national team, as always, body and soul, even though my two children were born. Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective that we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give joy to the Portuguese," he began the post. "The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the national picker have today had an attitude that has touched me and I will not forget. I'm very happy to finally be with my children for the first time."
Hours later, the proud dad took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with his newborn son and daughter. Cradling his children as they slept, Cristiano wrote, "So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life 🙏❤."
The soccer star is also a father to seven-year-old son Cristiano Jr, whom he has raised while keeping the identity of the biological mother a secret. In recent weeks, there was speculation that Cristiano's girlfriend, model Georgina Rodriguez, was expecting a baby, which began when the Real Madrid player shared a photo showing him resting his hand on Georgina's stomach. However his mother Dolores dismissed the reports. "It's just nonsense," she told Portuguese magazine Flash. "It's just a hand on the belly, and as far as I know, Cristiano will not be a father again. I hope he has more children, he wants to be a father again. Now that Cristiano has money, he can raise more children as well."
