While First Lady Melania Trump has channeled the Duchess of Cambridge on a number of occasions, her latest stylish ensemble had her twinning with another member of the royal family – Sophie Wessex. To carry out her hosting duties at the annual Congressional Picnic on Thursday, the 47-year-old stepped out wearing a colorful checkered dress by Mary Katrantzou, which was previously worn by Prince Edward's wife earlier this year.
The Countess of Wessex, 52, first wore the dress that originally retailed for $2,255 back in March during her royal visit to Malawi. Unlike the president’s wife who accessorized the sleeveless, Italian-crafted frock with a skinny brown belt and pink suede stilettos, Sophie opted for a navy cardigan and beige pumps to visit Diamond Jubilee Trust programs in East Africa.

Melania, who recently moved from Manhattan to D.C., looked summer ready wearing the geometric printed dress to the picnic on June 23 as she welcomed Capitol Hill lawmakers to the White House. The event, which was themed “Picnic in the Park” after New York’s Central Park, brought a piece of the Big Apple to the nation's capital.
“My husband and I are pleased to welcome Members of Congress and their families to the people’s house. I look forward to an evening together that will highlight our New York home by bringing a piece of New York City to Washington, D.C.,” Barron Trump's mother said in a statement. “With the recent and tragic shooting at the Congressional baseball game practice last week, it is more important than ever that we spend time together not as politicians, but as colleagues and friends."
