Paris Jackson wants to use the fashion industry for good. The 19-year-old opened up to Vogue Australia's July issue about being a role model to young girls. “I really want to leave a positive imprint in the fashion world, mostly regarding the media and the stereotypical beauty standard that is blasted all over every magazine you see, every article that pops up on your phone screen, every billboard you can see while you’re driving down the street,” the IMG model admitted during the interview, which was conducted via text message.

She continued, “I already have many young girls looking up to me and I want to be something their parents are OK with them looking up to.” Like her late, philanthropic father, Michael Jackson, Paris is passionate about various causes. The King of Pop's daughter shared, “I have so many causes that are dear to my heart and fighting for the people, I feel, is my duty."
The teen continued, "But right now since I’m doing the modeling thing, a huge focus – well, mostly what I’m putting a lot of effort into – is making sure my own personal creativity shows through whatever I’m doing while I’m working.” Personally, the budding model, who made her first appearance at the Met Gala last month, defines herself in five words: “Determined, passionate, hopeful, natural and honest.”

Ahead of the magazine’s June 26 release, Paris took to her Instagram to share a picture of the cover, while praising the publication for her interview. Alongside the magazine's cover image, which was taken by Patrick Demarchelier, she wrote, “Vogue australia... so very grateful to the below for this opportunity," adding, "One of the first interviews where my words haven't been twisted, and they get all the info straight from the source! so thankful. please check it out."
