Zac Efron was saved by the Wolverine. The High School Musical alum recently revealed that his co-star Hugh Jackman saved him from a burning building. The hunky stars were filming on the set of their upcoming movie The Greatest Showman when the staged fire turned into a real-life incident.

"It started to get late, and some of the pyrotechnics got a little bit too hot," the actor recalled to MTV's Josh Horowitz at CinemaCon on Tuesday, March 28. "We burst out of the building. It looked great on camera. We didn't know it [at the time], but it was pretty intense. I watched playback, and he saved me from a burning building."

At the time the duo were filming scene in which Hugh’s character P.T. Barnum saves his assistant (Zac) from a fire. Zac, 29, revealed, “It later exploded that night. It was a set, but it later burned down." Despite the scary circumstances, the actor noted that being rescued by Hugh was “pretty awesome.” Zac said, ”Hugh Jackman saving you from a burning building? It's every girl's dream." While it might have been a dream for Zac, it was a workout for the Logan star. Hugh, 48, told MTV News last month that “[Zac’s] heavier than he looks.”
