Prince George doesn’t begin school in London until September, but his mom Kate Middleton is already becoming acquainted with the parents of the royal tot’s future classmates. While attending the National Portrait Gallery Gala, in her capacity as a patron, on Tuesday evening, the Duchess of Cambridge befriended fellow parents from Thomas’s London Day School in Battersea.

Richard Founder and his wife Jane Suitor, who were guests at the black-tie affair, told the 35-year-old royal that the co-ed institution is a “great school.” Following their conversation, Richard revealed, "We were chatting about Thomas', the school [Prince] George will be going to.” He added, "We're parents there as well. [Kate] just said 'I may see you at the school gates.’"
No doubt Prince George's arrival to Thomas's is exciting to existing parents of the school. One such mom told HOLA!'s sister brand HELLO!: “All the parents are so excited that Prince George will be joining them although there's quite a lot of talk about the security it will entail. Other than that the biggest concern is whether it's ok to serve a future King Waitrose fish fingers on a playdate or not.”

It was announced last week that the future King is set to attend the private school in south London. A spokesman for Kensington Palace said at the time: "Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to have found a school where they are confident George will have a happy and successful start to his education."
While at the lavish gala on March 28, the Duchess admitted to model Alexa Chung’s father, Phillip Chung that she has begun collecting her son and daughter Princess Charlotte’s artistic efforts. Kate will surely have plenty more pieces of art to add to her collection once George, three, begins his formal education at the prep school, which offers a broad curriculum with music, physical education, French and art. Former pupils of Prince George's future school include model Cara Delevingne and singer Florence Welch.
