Billie Lourd breaks the silence after losing her mother, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, a day apart

The 24-year-old actress has decided to express herself through social media

It was one of the toughest weeks in the life of Billie Lourd, who lost her mother, Carrie Fisher, on Dec. 27 and, just one day later, her grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, died too. A week after those events, the actress, known for her work in ‘Scream Queens’, decided to speak through social media to thank her fans for the support received and to remember the women from whom she inherited her love for acting.

The 24-year-old actress wanted to pay homage to her mother and grandmother by posting a beautiful picture on her Instagram account. In the tender image you can see the three generations; Billie Lourd, as a young girl, along with Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. "Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist," wrote Billie Lourd to accompany the snapshot. "There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me," concludes the emotional post.

Carrie Fisher, known worldwide for her role as Princess Leia in ‘Star Wars’, died December 27 at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack while on a plane. "It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," said family spokesperson Simon Halls, while Debbie Reynolds, famous for her role in ‘Singin' In the Rain’ (1952), died at the age of 84 as a result of an embolism while preparing her daughter's funeral.
