It feels like it was yesterday that Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise swore eternal love ... Although that romance is nothing but memories, the 49-year-old actress told the editorial director of People and Entertainment Weekly in The Jess Cagle Interview how it had been her first approach with the actor: they met in the audition for the film ‘Days of Thunder’ (1990). At that time, Tom was already a recognized star in Hollywood and her career, was just beginning.

"member being so nervous and seeing Tom Cruise drive up in a Porsche," She recalled. "He got out of the car and walked through the door, and I was like, ‘Ah.’ My jaw dropped. Then I had to go in and audition in front of Tony Scott. Sweet Tony, Don Simpson, Jerry Bruckheimer, Robert Towne and Tom. I was like, ‘No way, I’m not going to get this.’ They called that afternoon and I had the job.”

“I was just like, ‘Oh my god, Mom!’ Yeah, that was huge. Huge," Kidman said. "You know, obviously, changed my life extraordinarily. So grateful for the film, for everything that came with it. It was a big, important part of my life." In December 1990, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise got married and soon they decided to adopt Connor and Isabella.
After 11 years of marriage, Tom and Nicole divorced. “It was a beautiful marriage and all of those things that came out of it. Two beautiful children. The rest is history." Love knocked again on her doorstep and in 2006 she married musician Keith Urban. The star of films like The Others, is the mother of two girls: Sunday Rose, eight and Faith Margaret, five.
