Jennifer Aniston: 'I’m Not A ‘Sad, Childless Human'

The actress referred to the letter she wrote some time ago to silence the gossip about a supposed pregnancy

Inside and outside her characters in film or television, the love life of Jennifer Aniston has always been a topic of conversation. From her split with Brad Pitt in 2005, her image began to become that of the single and successful woman with little luck in love. Despite being happily married, rumors about her happiness are still continuing, especially those who say that she and her husband Justin Theroux are close to divorcing. In addition, there has been much speculation about her decision not to become a mother, a situation that several portals spoke after seeing her with a few extra pounds on the beach.

Jennifer, tired of the gossip about her personal life, wrote a letter in The Huffington Post back in july, in which she faced all those rumors and the people who invent them. More calmly, she talked about her words with Marie Claire and why she wrote something so personal after years of keeping her private life away from her public image.

"My marital status has been shamed; my divorce status was shamed; my lack of a mate had been shamed; my nipples have been shamed. It’s like, ‘Why are we only looking at women through this particular lens of picking us apart? Why are we listening to it?' I just thought, ‘I have worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human," she said firmly about her decision not to start a family.

To make matters worse, her name was also involved in the recent divorce of her ex, Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie, the woman with whom the actor started dating still married to Aniston. However, the actress preferred to stay away from the comments and memes that came with the Jolie-Pitt divorce to focus on her personal life and the tranquility that her husband brings to her life.

“All I know is that I feel completely seen, and adored, in no matter what state. There's no part of me that I don't feel comfortable showing, exposing. And it brings forth the best part of myself, because I care about him so much. And he's such a good person. It hurts me to think of anything hurting him,” she said of her marriage to Justin, silencing - once again - rumors of divorce.
