Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto: A timeline of their private all-star romance
Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto may keep their love private but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a love story to be told. The Cuban model and the NBA great met and fell in love after long term relationships. Yvette, dated Julio Iglesias Jr. and Michael was married to Juanita Vanoy from 1989 to 2006. The Cuban model and the former athlete have created a life of their own.
From their first meeting in 2007 to the day they said their “I dos” in 2013, the pair have been inseparable. When the celebrity couple are out, the Jordans are loved up. Whetere it’s courtside at a sporting event or dressed to the nines (and almost matching) during special occasions. Here is a look at Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto’s love timeline.
Let’s Dance
It was love at first boogie for the pair. Michael and Yvette met in 2007 on the dancefloor at a a club in Miami.
Stay together
A little over a year after their meeting, Michael and Yvette moved in with each other in 2009.
She said “yes”
On Christmas Eve in 2011, MJ reportedly proposed to his love. After four years of dating, the former Chicago Bulls guard popped the question. The pair confirmed the news through his rep and celebrated their new relationship status on the French Rivera.
They did!
Yvette and Michael tied the knot during an ultra lavish, star-studded, and secret ceremony. The couple said “I do” in April 2013 in from of 300 of their closest family and friends. It’s no surprise that music was a big part of the event. Usher and Robin Thicke performed during the multi-million dollar ceremony.
Baby Boom!
In February 2014, Yvette and Michael welcomed their twin daughters, Ysabel and Victoria. The pair’s children have largely been kept out of the spotlight.
Courtside Love!
Although Yvette missed seeing MJ in his prime on the basketball court, the supermodel still shares his passion. The pair spend their time courtside at basketball games. The pair are often spotted watching the Charlotte Hornets play as Michael is one of the owners of the bastketball franchise.

Yvette and Michael keep their love out of the spotlight. The pair are often seen together but don’t let others in on the details of their romance. However, when they appear side-by-side at events, there is no denying their all-star love.
