THE CLINTONS
The Clinton family has been at the center of American life for years, dominating the political landscape since Bill Clinton’s presidency in 1993. The family’s power and influence has continued since Bill left office in 2000 with former Secretary of State Hillary now laying the groundwork for her own presidential bid in 2016.
When Chelsea Clinton got married in a fairytale upstate New York setting in 2010, it was the closest thing to a royal wedding the country had seen for years. And now her and her husband Marc Mezvinsky have their own little heiress to keep the dynasty going – daughter Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, who was born on September 26, 2014.

THE KARDASHIANS
Cosmopolitan recently named the Kardashian-Jenner clan as America’s first family. The family first shot to fame in 2007 when their reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians was launched. Over the last eight years, viewers have watched the girls grow up, make up and break up with various boyfriends and husbands and deal with the pressures of being in the public eye.
Speaking about their meteoric rise to fame and international popularity, close family friend and executive producer of their reality TV show, Ryan Seacrest told the magazine: "No one could have predicted the Kardashians’ and Jenners’ success. But when you spend time with them, what resonates is the family unit… the sense of family is universal." He believes that it is their "unvarnished candor" that appeals to so many and has made them a household name across the nation.

THE HILTONS
Paris Hilton and little sister Nicky, daughters of hotel magnate Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards have been a staple at high society events as well as red carpeted events since they were gallivanting around NYC as teens. This summer, Nicky left one prominent American family to join another, the Rothschilds. In July, the model and fashion designer became a member of the aristocratic family through her marriage to scion James Rothschild.
No expense was spared for the nuptials, which were nearly as lavish as a royal wedding. The bride and groom said their vows at the home of British Royalty Kate Middleton and Prince William, in Kensington Palace. Located within Kensington Gardens, the ceremony took place in The Orangery, located next door to the royals' apartment.
Nicky also revealed that her dress had a royal connection as it was inspired by actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly. "I love Grace Kelly. She can do no wrong," she said, adding "I knew in my mind that I really wanted to do something traditional, just classic, and white lace, and beautiful."

THE OBAMAS
America may not have a royal family, but since they entered the White House in 2009 Barack Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha have been the closest we've had to American princesses.
Just 11 and 8 years old when their father became President of the United States, the girls have grown up in the public eye.
In 2014, both sisters were named in Time Magazine’s 25 most influential teens of the year. They were credited with acting with "the poise of adults," leading "as normal lives as they can while still meeting the demand of being in the limelight," and having influenced their father on "his stance on gay marriage."
