The Mexican actress was involved in physical training during the production of Bloodshot which involved underwater diving and breathing techniques. We won’t spoil the movie, but the film features military weapons and stunt scenes that will keep you stuck to the screen. Eiza is one of the first Mexican actresses to play a superhero role in Hollywood, wavering the typical Latina stereotype role featured in other movies.

Eiza trained with a baton and learned new fight moves during her stunt training on set. “Here’s some footage of how I learned the whole fight choreography, incredible stunt team, it was fun to learn how to use a baton,” the actress shared with her fans on social media as she is seen practicing her fight moves with her stunt team.

In a recent interview with HOLA! USA, Eiza reveals how her resilience and emotional strength kept her going. She admits how difficult it was to hold her breath and opening her eyes underwater, “Well, it was crazy physical because I had to do a lot of underwater diving. I really had to train on how to work with my breathing and also for the character if I wanted to really make it stick that she has that respiratory issue.”

Bloodshot is an adaptation of the comic books Valiant Comics and stars Ray Garrison, a soldier that is killed and brought back to life with superpowers of regeneration. Thankfully, the film has been released online early than expected due to the Coronavirus pandemic and recent movie theaters shutdown.
