Prince Harry is ready to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Prince William and start a family of his own. “Of course, I would love to have kids,” the royal told podcast host Bryony Gordon during a candid interview with the Telegraph’s Mad World podcast. When the time does come, the 32-year-old, who is currently dating American actress Meghan Markle, will already have plenty of experience under his belt thanks to his numerous godchildren, in addition to his niece, Princess Charlotte, and nephew, Prince George.

“I’m a godfather to quite a few of my friends’ [kids],” the ginger-haired royal said. “Um, actually only five or six.” As for whether he is a good godfather, Harry confessed, “I’d like to think so. But I think the key to that is to grow up, but also to be able to stay in touch with your childhood side.” The Prince explained, “If that means going to someone’s house and sitting there and playing PlayStation and kicking the a-s of their son on CounterStrike, or Halo, or whatever it is, then I’ll try and do that. I’ve actually had a lot of practice for that.”

Meghan, who began dating the Queen's grandson last summer, has previously expressed her desire to have children. Discussing the fulfillment of her professional goals with Lifestyle magazine's 2016 fall issue, the Suits star, 35, admitted that she still has personal goals that she would like to achieve. Meghan said at the time, “I also dream to have a family. It's all about balance, and I have so much happiness in my career and am fortunate to travel the world and see so many amazing things - it will also be nice to be anchored to something grounded and in the same place. Raising a family will be a wonderful part of that."
