Former President Barack Obama is living his best post-presidential life! Barack and his wife Michelle Obama have taken up residence in the French Polynesia for the last three weeks staying at Marlon Brando's luxurious resort, The Brando. The 55-year-old arrived in Tahiti on March 15, while Michelle joined him over the weekend. Sasha and Malia's father is said to be using the time and the space writing his memoirs.

However it hasn't been all work and no play. The dad-of-two wass spotted swimming in the island's lagoon, while his wife followed suit on a paddleboard. Michelle and Barack also took a small boat trip out to the lagoon off the island of Moorea. The former President has also been spotted on the Polynesian atoll of Fakarava, where he went diving and swimming in the crystal clear waters. The duo were out sans their two teenage daughters, but with a host of security who kept a watchful eye on the pair from a small boat. The Brando resort, which is located 30 miles from Tahiti, was once used as a retreat for chiefs and kings of Tahiti until it was bought by actor Marlon Brando in 1967.

The now eco-friendly resort is comprised of 35 villas, complete with their own plunge pool and strip of private white sandy beach. While you don't need to be a president to book a stay at The Brando, you may need to start saving. Rooms start at $2,700 per night for a one-room villa. Since leaving the White House on January 20, Barack has ventured off to Palm Springs for golf, before he was spotted kitesurfing on Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands. He has also traveled to New York City and back to his home in Hawaii.
